As part of the MISEDUCATED book tour, award-winning author and Harvard educator Brandon P. Fleming will visit select Metro Atlanta schools to provide professional development training for faculty, staff, and administrators in preparation for the upcoming school year.
Participating schools will receive a free interactive reading guide for MISEDUCATED. The guide draws attention to key themes within the book that critically examine the most pressing issues within modern education, including:
- educational equity
- understanding and reaching at-risk youth
- socio-emotional learning
- culturally competent teaching
- school climate and culture
- diversity and inclusion
- the language of leadership
- and much more
Fleming will present and attendees will have an opportunity to openly engage with Fleming to discuss solution-driven implementation.

Brandon P. Fleming’s story of struggle, success, and service has inspired millions around the world. Fleming is author of MISEDUCATED, which tells his journey from being a delinquent, drug-dealing dropout to becoming an award-winning Harvard educator. He has spoken at places ranging from Fortune 100 companies to federal prisons, and global platforms such as the United Nations General Assembly. In 2020, Fleming was named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list, and The Root magazine recognized Fleming as one of the top 100 most influential African Americans in the United States. North Carolina Wesleyan College recently bestowed upon Fleming the honorary Doctor of Humanities degree.
